MISSION AND VISION
Writing a Mission
Each one of us has a unique mission to fulfill. I have heard it is as unique as your fingerprint. Yah has given you the skills and trials that have prepared you for this all your life. You will realize this when you find out what it is as it will amaze you how Yah has prepared you. I believe it is very important for you to find what your mission is and how you can go about fulfilling it
For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29.11
Once a year on my job we have performance evaluations and we have to write them ourselves to show how we have fulfilled the companies mission. We have to use examples from our past year and compare them to what we have done in the current year. Now imagine if we had to do this for Yah.
Now we are called to work for him and we should understand what job he has given us to do. He knows exactly what he has in mind for us. We are thankful Noah fulfilled his mission.

What are your passions?
Yah has put that yearning in each of us. Now to start with, we need to take some mediation time and clear our head and think of the things that you like to do. What are your passions?
1. Look at some of the things that Yah has shown you over the years, see if there is a theme.
2. Begin to explore some options and get someone to talk with about different possibilities.
3. It may not be exactly right but little nuggets of your mission will be there and those are what you need to built on.
4. Create a list of things you like to do, things you can do and things you want to do.
5. Take the gift survey and see were you are gifted.

Putting it all together.
Start where you find an opening...
Put these thoughts together to come up with some ideas. Now image this list that it has no limits. You have all the resources of heaven and a Father who wants you to succeed. After you have made your list take some time to look at it and see if a theme emerges. You can usually see several ways you are gifted and talented to serve the kingdom.
Sometimes it is just stepping out in one area and then Yah will open doors for you to see your mission clearly.
For example maybe you see an opening for someone to help clean up after oneg (Congregational dinners) and your gift is prophecy (seeking truth). Well, it is my experience that if you step in and fill that need of the community, Yah will send people to help you because it is the conversation with the people who come and work with you that may need to hear just what you have to say. Once Yah sees you faithful in drying the dishes, he may open up other opportunities for you to see your next mission.
If you need help, I will be glad to help you. I feel this is so important as our communities need focused people to carry out Yah’s plan.

Writing a Personal Mission Statement
Feel the passion and fulfillment of working toward your mission! That will bring light to your soul and a smile on your face. You will feel happy fulfilling your mission and you will feel closer to Yah.
Maybe you already know your mission and are very busy. It will benefit you to write yours out as it will help you focus on what is important and maybe then you can release some of the other things to capable people so you can focus on your mission. By writing it out and putting it before your face and begin to meditate and pray over it. This will help you keep a clear focus on what you are doing and not forget or get sidetracked.

"Where [there is] no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the Torah, happy [is] he".
Proverbs 29:18
Write out a Vision.
Vision keeps you focused on the goal.
A vision should be something your looking at five years down the road. Take some time and read some written visions. These will give you a framework from which to formulate the one that pertains to you and your family. Think of your circumstances in five years such as age, job, or family. Maybe your vision from Yah will be to go to Israel, to even make aliyah. Here is where you need to write it out. This is where you need to begin. Then start making missions to fulfill your vision.
Take some time on this one. Don't become impatient as this is very important as it will guide you for the next few years.
Write out your vision and put it in a place where you can see it every day. If you don't want to share it with anyone, don't. Yet write it out and put it in your bible or on your computer, anywhere that you can and will see it. With your vision you will begin to consider how Yah wants you to work toward fulfilling the vision.
Where there is no vision, our days just vanish into dust. We will not be able to grow into the person that Yah wants us to become. When we have a vision, when we see what it is, we begin to fulfill our days. Our days become exciting and joyous.
Both mission and vision will help you gain ground because without them, time will pass and you will have nothing to show for it. Having a mission and vision will put you exactly where you need to be in order to fulfill Yah's plan for you.
It doesn’t have to be perfect or even detailed to the point of impossibility - it simply has to be done. Write out your weekly, monthly, yearly mission to fulfill your vision and watch as Yah transforms you into the person that He needs you to become in order to reach your full potential.
