HUSBAND
Proverbs 31: 11-12,
"Her husband can trust and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life"
These verses contain many interesting aspects and each one will open us to a deeper relationship with our husband and heavenly Father by removing some of the strongholds in our lives. I want to start with one in verse 12, bringing good to our husband. The word 'good' in this passage is the Hebrew word 'טוֹב (towb)' TOV. The word means good, pleasant, and agreeable. We can compare it to the verses in Genesis when Yah saw that his creation was good (טוֹב).
This is what I have found in the Strong's Concordance:
a) Pleasant, agreeable (to the senses)
b) Pleasant (to the high nature)
c) good, excellent (of its kind)
d) good, rich, valuable in estimation
e) good, appropriate, becoming
f) better (comparative)
g) glad, happy, prosperous (of man's sensuous nature)
h) good understanding (of man's intellectual nature)
i) good, kind, benign
j) good, right (ethical)
If we reflect on this passage, we think about bringing something to our husband. What I have taken from this verse is about bringing ourselves to our husbands. When I fist looked at this, I thought what a wonderful way to begin my makeover in Yah: Allow the Ruach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit) to begin a renewing of my mind to be what Yah intends me to be come. Let's dig our roots deep into the ground to the meaning of טוֹב (good). When we meditate on the above list of good (טוֹב), we can think of how they could apply to us.
Maybe they will inspire you to change something in your life to be better.
As an example let's look at the fourth one, 'good, rich, valuable in estimation'.
One way to look at this is , when you handle your finances to be profitable and know how to grow your money, you will be valuable to your husband (and to your heavenly Father). Much like the lady who little by little was able to fix up up her home, she was able to sell it for 2 times more than what she and her husband paid for it.
This made her good, rich, and valuable in estimation to her family and her husband.
